Sunday Scrap Page: Monkeys

Official Chineese New Year celebrations are 7-13th of Feburary
and marks the start of the Year of the Monkey. So Michael Strong
offeres a serie of free digital monkey stamps on his blog
for you to use for your cards or other projects.
You can find thes images for downloading HERE.
They sure are great fun if you want to make some
Chinese New Year cards. Thank you Michael Strong
for making these fun digital images.

I used themto make this scrapbook page about my
twin grandsons, they sure are two fun monkeys!

I used Club Scrap Celebrate paper. The monkeys I printed
on the blue paper and colored them with pencil. Each monkey
is colored a little different. The bottle caps came also with this kit.
With a 1 inch circle punch I punched 3 circles out of a piece
of silver scrap paper I had left over from the cards the other day.
They fit exactly into the bottle cap. I added these sticker
numbers and put the sticky glass on top. Perfect embellishment
for the monkey to hold.
The sentiment is a quote I found on the internet and typed on
the computer and then printed on the grey paper from
the Celebration kit. The tiny words you see on top
of the pictures are also stickers that were on the number sheet.
This sheet is fom one of my very old Club Scrap kits
from my stash of never used sticker sheets. Not a big fan of
stickers, but here they came in handy!

So hop over to Michael Strong's Blog
and get your own monkeys!

Celebrate with a sketch

These cards I made for the sketch challenge on the
When i noticed this sketch, I just new this month
for the challenge.

Here you see the set of stamps from this Celebrate kit.
Wonderful sentiments to be on up front on a card.
You find the stamps HERE.

After making one card,Ijust kepgoing,so here are 3 cards for this
challenge. The first card is a 5,5 x 5,5 inch card.
The sentiment is embossed in white on a white card.
Then sprayed mustered seed and abandoned coral distress spray.
When everything was drie, I stamped on thepanel
with Club Scrap fuchsia ink and a swirl stamp.
The flower and buttons are from my stash.

For card number two I started with stamping the base of the card
with a black swirl all around. Then i stamped the sentiment in
black and added the same swirl stamp in Club Scrap neon orange.
Then I used some orange sequins from my stash
and matted the sentiment pannelto this  wonderful silver
cardstock that came with this kit.

Card number 3 was stamped with one of the circle stamps
in fuchsia all around the baseof the card.
I choose some red paper from another kit (Coffee break)
that was left over fromanother card and perfect to stamp
the sentiment and emboss in white. All the dots around
the sentiment are made with the circle stencil that
came with this Celebrate kit. I added some bling
gemstones frommy stash. That shiny star on top came
with the kit!

Coffee and sketch

Oh how I love my new
I had to make another card and the background paper
is absolutely delicious and feels like velvet.
So I looked for a sketch that I could use
and went to work.

I want to enter this card for the
#336

I stamped the cup in burgundy red
on kraft paper, the same as the base of the card.
Again with black ink on white paper
and cut of the lid from the white paper
and added it on the cup with foam tape.
For the sleeve I stamped on a starbuck sleeve and
cut it out. Attached it with the punched out
star and a brad.

The bottle cap came with the Celebrate January
kit, but fits perfectly here for and embellishment.

Here you see the Coffee Break papers.
You find fnd them here.

Here you see the UM Rubber stamps

Club Scrap Blog Hop: Celebrate with coffee and chocolate!

Yes, this is a special post for the
It is a celebration for kit #200!
I am sure you came over here from
and her wonderful art with this special
Celebrate pizza box with it's wonderful papers,
embellishments, stencil and rubber stamps.
If you loose your way,you can always go back
to the Club Scrap blog.
So I thought it would be the best way to celebrate
with Coffee and Cocolate!
As I am already a member of Club Scrap since 2003 and
I have seen and used many wonderful kits since then,
I had missed getting the Mocha Java kit.
So I kept begging Tricia for a new coffee kit. And many
coffee cards and pages later there was the Mocha Java remix
kit and I have used it all up. So new requests and just this month
the Coffee Break kit is here. That is how  this idea popped
into my head! You all now me as a coffee addict.
I had seen this coffee cup around, but never tried it
and so with a great video tutorial and my envelope
punch board I went to work. Here is the tutorial:

The instructions are very easy to follow.

The result is this cup.
Inside the cup you can also add some
sweets, or other present.

The sentiment is from Celebrate and the spoon is from
the Mocha Java UM stamps.

Inside the cup I made this tag.
It is a picture from my first Retreat in 2007
that I made when Tricia was having a cup of coffee.
The cup on the bottle cap is a stamp from the new
Coffee Break kit.

This is the background I created with
stamps and stencil. Most of it is now covered,
a shame, so I  may do it again and make a card.

And now for the chocolate bags.
Also great for Valentine!!
In the left bag I added a window,so you can see the
coffee bean chocolatesthat are inside. In the right
bag there are chocolate hearts for Valentine's Day.

To make this bag you need:
a 12x12 inch cardstock
envelope punch board
Start with punching at 1,5 inch and score.

Turn your paper and punch at 3 inch and score.
Turn and punch and score at 1,5 inch and
turn and punch and score at 3 again.

Flip over your paper and start again with scoring at 1,5 inch
and score and do the same as above all around.

This is how your paper looks when finished.

Now for the cutting. The larger part is the front and the
vack of the box. Cut allong the lines until the crossing.

Alonf the smaller side you leave a flap for
the double sided tape.
Put the tape on the front sideof the flap.

Glue everything together.

Three flaps will be folded inside the bag
and the one that is left will be folded over the front
and used to close the bag.
Try to fold the sides like this with
your fingers.

Now the box is ready for decorating.
Make holes through the flap and the  bag
to pull a ribbon through.

Here the Valentine box.

As you can see I had a lot of fun playing with my
Celebrate papers and stamps.
For more celebrations and project ideas go to
and have lots of fun!
(hope will share more coffee in the future xx)

Thanks Clu Scrap for all your wonderful kits!
